Global Health Informatics Education (Studies in Health Technology and Informatics) Health Informatics Book(Hovenga E, Mantas J, 2004) - healthcare professionals often lack knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of systematically processing data, information and knowledge and of the resulting impact on quality decision-making.  This book is especially helpful for educators in the field of health/medical informatics.

Guide to Health Informatics Health Informatics Book(Coiera E, 2003) - an excellent academic review of all aspects of information technology that are applied to healthcare; not a book for techies.  Coiera is Professor of Health Informatics at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
