Daniel Kayiwa (Uganda) and OpenMRS

This web link is a video interview with Daniel Kayiwa and his understanding of how and why the OpenMRS was/should be implemented. Professor William Tierney who is a co-founder of the EMR that preceded the OpenMRS states that this interview, Is " Pretty powerful stuff" and he will use it in September 2008 when he presents the results of the 3-year implementation project of AMPATH and OpenMRS. to the to the Ugandan MOH and National AIDS Control Programme he emphasises that he will be making soem of the exact points as Daniel however, he points out that Daniel is  making them better as he is a Ugandan and is not trying to steal their data. The video also demonstrates the sustainability of such systems in resource poor environments
